The 2024 (58th) Annual Meeting of the Ichthyological Society of Japan (ISJ) will be held at Fukuoka Institute of Technology in Japan, from 6 to 9 September 2024. Two symposiums entitled "River ecology and conservation of Japanese eel: developments since the listing the eel as an endangered species and future perspectives" and "A critically endangered Ryukyu-ayu Plecoglossus altivelis ryukyuensis in Amami-Oshima Island" will be held during the meeting.
